Description
SUMMARY:
Facilitate setup, assemble, calibrate and test Electro-mechanical assemblies and systems and correctly record results.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep a clean and organized work environment per 5S
- Facilitates equipment by applying electrical power, pneumatics, and mechanical components in temporary installations.
- Assembles complex electrical and mechanical assemblies according to drawings, schematics, 3D viewing software, and/or standard procedures using hand tools.
- Performs mechanical alignments and calibration of equipment to ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure), quality standards and other procedures that are used during the test cycle of the products.
- Performs leak detection on Vacuum assemblies to verify vacuum integrity using helium leak detection equipment.
- Operate a multi meter.
- Debugs equipment, including electrical (to PCB level), mechanical, and vacuum systems, to facilitate power-up and gathering of test data. Reports test data with provided templates.
- Records and reports mechanical and electrical failures and discrepancies.
- Participates in the development of manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Prepares systems for shipment, including cleaning, break-down, preparation of miscellaneous list, and interface with shipping.
- Assists in keeping material flow for WIP projects efficient.
- Operates packaging/shipping equipment, including forklift, after completing approved training course.
- All manufacturing technicians may be required to perform other duties related to the general operations of the company as necessary.
- Manufacturing technicians may be required, and should be prepared, to travel domestically and/or internationally for equipment service/repair at customer sites.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s Degree (A.S.) from two-year college or technical school or military training is a plus.
- Five or more years of directly related experience as a technician.
- Experience in the Semiconductor equipment industry a plus
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings, schematics, technical procedures, and other related material.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical skills to solve technical problems.
- Proficient in use of crimpers, torque wrenches, vacuum leak detectors, soldering iron, and other assembly/test hand tools.
- Working knowledge of Windows Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
- Ability to adapt to a changing schedule.
