Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for purchasing, sourcing products, building and maintaining bills of materials, managing open purchase orders, communicating purchase order updates to internal resources and driving long-term strategy to AbeTech's Procurement Practice. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing: Identify and procure the necessary materials and products to meet company needs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Sourcing Products: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and source new products to support business objectives.
  • Building Bills of Materials (BOM): Create and manage detailed bills of materials for products, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Managing Open Purchase Orders: Monitor and manage open purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Internal Documentation and Communication: Maintain and update internal documentation related to purchase orders, including ship dates, and costs. Communicate updates to relevant internal teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Long-Term Strategy: Provide design, planning and recommendations to evolve and automate AbeTech's Procurement Practice. 
Requirements
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a strategic purchasing or procurement role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in the AIDC, Industrial Automation or Machine Vision Industries.
  • Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CPIM).
