About the Role
The Channel Sales Manager at CloudBees is responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with channel partners, including resellers, integrators, and distributors. The primary objective is to grow CloudBees’ business through indirect sales, working closely with partners to expand market reach, enhance revenue generation, and strengthen brand presence. This role involves working collaboratively with both internal teams (sales, marketing, product, and support) and external channel partners to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
What You'll Do
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners aligned with CloudBees’ business strategy and objectives.
- Train and enable partners on CloudBees solutions, positioning, and sales process.
- Provide ongoing support to partners, ensuring they have the resources needed to successfully sell CloudBees solutions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive channel sales strategy to drive revenue growth through indirect sales.
- Work with the sales leadership to establish clear targets, goals, and KPIs for channel partners.
- Collaborate with marketing to build and execute joint marketing plans to generate leads and increase brand awareness through partners.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key channel partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for channel partners, providing support and ensuring alignment on business objectives.
- Negotiate and manage channel agreements, including terms, pricing, and service-level expectations.
- Drive revenue growth by working closely with partners to identify opportunities, develop joint sales initiatives, and close deals.
- Monitor partner performance against sales targets and provide feedback and support to improve results.
- Ensure a high level of partner satisfaction to drive loyalty and long-term business growth.
- Work closely with CloudBees’ direct sales team to ensure alignment between channel and direct sales efforts.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to provide feedback from partners and customers on product needs and improvements.
- Support the finance team in managing and tracking revenue recognition, forecasting, and financial reporting related to channel sales.
- Track, analyze, and report on channel partner performance, including sales results, pipeline, and opportunities.
- Use data to identify trends, challenges, and areas for improvement within the channel program.
- Present regular updates to senior leadership on the progress of the channel sales strategy.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in channel sales, preferably within the software or cloud technology industry.
- Proven track record of managing successful partner relationships and driving revenue growth through indirect sales.
- Strong understanding of channel sales strategies, partner ecosystems, and indirect sales models.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and proficiency in sales and revenue reporting.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, or experience in the CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) space, is a plus.
