What Will You Do?
The Grant Specialist will be responsible for providing fiscal oversight for all the organization’s grants. This role will be accountable for pre/post award grant accounting, planning, and monitoring budgets and expenses, coordinating grant fiscal deliverables, ensuring compliance with funding source administrative guidelines, and submitting all required grant reports.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee all pre-award and post award grant fiscal activities
• Maintain tracking system for grant invoicing and reporting deadlines
• Collect, analyze, and report data in user-friendly format that will maximize understanding and be consistent with funder requirements
• Direct and coordinate systems and procedures related to grant supported contracts and agreements
• Monitor and complete reports needed for grants received
• Comply with procedures and requirements as identified by funding sources
• Coordinate with Finance and program teams to monitor expenditures as required
• Maintain up-to-date matrix of all grants currently awarded
• Create and distribute financial statements to track grant expenditures (project codes)
• Maintain cash and in-kind tracking system and produce reports as directed
• Create and maintain procedures for cost reporting
• Work with Finance on grant income reconciliation and analysis of monthly financial statements
• Produce ad hoc fiscal reports to funders as requested
• Other grant related duties as assigned

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Must have a valid North Carolina Driver License.
- Charlotte are candidates highly preferred
- Able to come to office at least 1 time per month
- Education requirement for this role is a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of three to five years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software, high proficiency in building, analyzing, and monitoring grant budgets and cost centers through financial software are musts.
- Experience in grant processes and systems related to grant submission and management is required.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills are a must.
