Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Social Media Strategist is responsible for all things social: developing and implementing social channel/experience design, branded content strategies, content calendars, paid/earned media strategies and day-to-day social media execution. This person will understand how to use these platforms to tell brand stories and create deeper brand connections.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and executes social media campaigns including program management, monitoring, content creation, curation and promotion while focusing on increasing customer activation, engagement, retention, and loyalty.
  • Engages with cross department teams to identify channel-specific content opportunities, mix and cadence, and understands the nuances of each channel for optimal execution.
  • Works with content and creative teams to develop impactful content and monthly content calendars.
  • Explores new and alternative ways to leverage social media to increase KCM's share of voice to create brand stories.
  • Compiles monthly reports and analyzes performance based on a tailored set of KPls and indicates how results should impact future social strategy decisions.
  • Generates, collects, and analyzes metrics to identify trends and themes, and optimize program strategy and content.
  • Configures social listening tools and provides ongoing recommendations to maximize engagement.
  • Drives innovation and education for internal departments and teams on the latest social media developments including changes, new social platforms, tools, partners, and resources.


Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • Work experience equivalent to or bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, PR or related fields
  • 7+ years’ experience in digital marketing with a focus on social media 
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of social media monitoring tools and metrics
  • Command of and experience with social media platforms and social media analytics software
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for storytelling
  • Proven ability to develop strategic targeting that drove topline results

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as part of a team
  • Attention to details


EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  • Standard office equipment and current technologies

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to lift 30lbs
  • Must be able to sit at a computer for a minimum of eight hours per day
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones and other office equipment.

  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
  • Must be very organized and require minimal instruction.

  • Must be able to travel to KCM Events, as necessary. 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Works in a normal/typical office environment.

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
