Program Operations
- Produce and curate content/messaging for social media, e-newsletters, blogs, and internal/external stakeholder communications via multiple platforms
- Develop and implement monthly social media strategy, and manage all social accounts
- Facilitate program requests for event materials, flyers, signage, and other items
- Visit afterschool programs to gather media for social media and marketing collateral
- Manage interdepartmental documentation projects
- Coordinate and ensure all mass external communications meet AYS brand standards
- Facilitate branded material orders
- Lead event planning for stakeholder events
- Assist Director of Marketing & Communications as needed
Leadership
- Serve as the initial and principal voice where appropriate in general public relation efforts
- Provide functional guidance/support to Marketing & Communications Intern
- Crosstrain various departments on communications best practices
- Uphold the AYS brand by exhibiting professionalism and empathy
Administrative
- Attend and participate in scheduled team meetings
- Represent AYS at community events
- Visit and assist at program sites monthly, and as necessary
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications and one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a related field
- Proficient with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platform
- Proficient with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Canva or similar graphic design platform preferred
- Experience with website management platforms a plus
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Experience with photography/videography and editing a plus
