Supporting Off-Site Locations: Camp Coney Pine, YMCA of the Seacoast, and Camp Gundalow

Overview: The Facilities Director at the YMCA of Somersworth is responsible for the overall maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of assigned buildings and grounds for this Early Learning Center. This position also supports off site YMCA locations on an occasional or seasonal basis, such as Camp Coney Pine, YMCA of the Seacoast, and Camp Gundalow. Flexibility to travel and meet facility program and maintenance needs are essential to this position. This role ensures that all facilities are operating efficiently and safely, while also leading maintenance and custodial teams to deliver high-quality service.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of Somersworth      facilities and assigned off-site locations.
  • Ensure coverage of building and grounds’ needs through      effective management of maintenance and custodial teams.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop department      employees; provide supervision and performance feedback.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work environments      free of hazards.
  • Monitor the quality of contractor services, ensuring      compliance with agreements and warranties for all facilities.
  • Implement ongoing preventive maintenance and      energy-saving programs across all sites.
  • Oversee HVAC systems and evaluate plumbing and      electrical needs for assigned buildings.
  • Assist with budget development and monitoring,      including forecasting and monthly variance reporting.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of equipment and tools,      ensuring quality control measures are met.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field, or      equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 3+ years in facility maintenance.
  • Moderate proficiency in managing commercial HVAC,      plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred      but not required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and general      computer skills.
