The Granite YMCA is currently seeking a Human Resources Associate to support the Human Resources Department in executing operational activities, particularly in the areas of benefits administration, leave administration and personnel and performance evaluation tracking, under the guidance of the Human Resources Department Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Workers Compensation administration ensuring the timely processing of claims
  • Perform monthly benefits reconciliation to ensure that costs are accurate and correct
  • Oversee and carry out routine administration related to the 401(a), 403(b) and ROTH retirement plans
  • Maintain employee records and provide administrative support such as filing, tracking, and employee follow-up
  • Ensure processes and practices meet regulatory laws and company procedures
  • Provide outstanding and timely customer service to all internal and external stakeholders and community partners; escalate concerns appropriately
  • Administer and track unpaid leaves of absence, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other leave programs
  • Provide employees with information and guidance regarding eligibility and processes for leaves
  • Serve as the HR representative on the Safety Committee, ensure a focus on alignment with workers compensation claims
  • Assist with implementation of performance management materials and track completion of performance appraisals
  • Assist with onboarding paperwork and processes of seasonal camp staff
  • Other duties to include HR administrative functions as assigned by Supervisor


Requirements:

  • 1-3  years of experience in HR or administrative experience
  • General understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer functions, with the ability to learn new software, familiarity with HR software preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality


Paid hourly amounting to $42,000 - $50,000 annually
