Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Primary responsibility is to provide on-site management, coordination, coaching and development for the WLC staff, as well

as work with all vendors to make sure that all logistical areas are consistently running smooth. Responsibilities include but

are not limited to: conducting evening and weekly WLC staff meetings, provide daily coaching to WLC staff and formal,

weekly coaching to WLC teams, direct logistical and administrative business at the conference facility in regards to financial

matters, housing arrangements, meal counts, room sets, bussing, vendor/contract management and billing arrangements.

Serve as the primary contact to National FFA staff and have (at a minimum) formal, weekly check ins with the Program

Specialist or Program Manager. The Director will serve as a primary contact in member disciplinary concerns and a liaison

with FFA advisors when appropriate. Director will also oversee curriculum and session assignments for staff and will work

with the team leaders to handle scheduling and setup of audiovisual, lighting, staging, workshop materials and prop

preparation for each weekly conference. Must operate student program within the WLC budget. The director is required to

participate in 3 mandatory weeks of training (1 week in spring, at least 1 week in May in Indianapolis, and 1 week in May on

site in DC). Must constantly work to improve the program, staff members, and yourself as a trainer and coach. Will be

required to be certified in First Aid/CPR once hired. *All decisions or responsibilities can be adjusted, changed or removed

by the Program Specialist or Program Manager as needed at any time.

*Staff will be hired with the potential to facilitate up to five weeks.

Compensation: $826 for training weeks, $1160 for conference weeks and $296 for cleanup


GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Facilitate all selected pre-developed content during each conference.
  • Work with Corporate Partners, as assigned, to coordinate an in-person or virtual visit during
  • conferences.
  • Complete administrative duties such as completing expense reports, scheduling travel, etc.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with National FFA Staff on items relating to conference
  • changes and updates. This includes receiving and implementing feedback throughout the conference
  • season.

  • Must be able to provide and receive feedback with a growth mindset and collaborative demeanor.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft, Adobe, Apple, and Final Cut Pro programs.
  • Must have personal access to, and be able to use, a computer or laptop.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

EDUCATION:

High school diploma, some college.


EXPERIENCE:

At minimum, one year of experience as a National FFA conference facilitator.
