Job Summary:
The Liquid Measurement Technician I must be team-oriented, proactive, and goal-driven. This position is responsible for operating various types of liquid provers without direct, daily supervision. All work is performed under the general supervision of the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain job tickets;
- Operate various types of liquid provers with a general understanding of all associated equipment;
- Obtain spot and composite samples, transport hazardous and/or non-hazardous materials;
- Determine API gravity and S&W;
- Troubleshoot and repair measurement-related equipment;
- Maintenance of tools and equipment;
- Complete all assigned tasks under supervision;
- This is a very safety-sensitive position and accuracy and dependability are critical for the success of the role;
- Other duties as assigned.
- GED or High School diploma;
- Maintain a DOT Certification and/or CDL A License (No Restrictions) as deemed necessary;
- Maintain good standing status of OQSG quals: CT039, CT271, & CT60;
- Maintain required State measurement certifications and quals;
- Consistent data management and reporting task(s) completion;
- 90 days minimum liquid measurement experience;
- Must be proficient with and able to perform all Liquid Measurement Helper Technician primary tasks as defined by SPL’s Liquid Measurement Technician Skillsets and Career Path under limited supervision;
- Must become proficient in 1 ancillary skill and 1 added value skill as defined by SPL’s Liquid Measurement Technician Skillsets and Career Path;
- Must have intermediate knowledge of AGA/GPA/API Measurement Guidelines, BLM, and State regulatory requirements.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires local travel and some out-of-town stays.
Work Schedule:
This position will work 8 hours, Monday-Friday in our Williston, ND and SPL surrounding client locations. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
