WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the FP&A Team with responsibility for forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning and analysis. This position serves a critical role in reviewing data, performing analysis, identifying trends, and preparing/maintaining reports and models to support the Company’s ongoing decision-making. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will have a key role in developing and shaping our business and financial strategy and conducting several high-impact cross-functional initiatives at the Company including the implementation of and optimization of the Company’s FP&A/BI reporting systems, tools, and processes.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT
- Support Company leadership with financial planning, analysis, and reporting of the performance of the organization including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly Board reporting and analyses, and ongoing ad hoc analyses.
- Assist with building and maintaining the Company’s long-term financial model and provide recommendations on key financial decisions to the leadership team.
- Develop presentations and communicate key business trends to leadership.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts across the Company to understand underlying drivers of financial performance and integrate into reforecast and budget.
- Support ad hoc finance transformation projects, automation, tool implementation, and data optimization initiatives to drive operational improvements at scale.
- Support Finance team with a FP&A system implementation and continued maintenance thereafter. Build scalable financial models and management reporting templates that can be used by other members of the Finance team.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics to automate data pulls to allow more time for impactful analysis, while ensuring a high degree of data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics to develop and maintain dashboards to share financial performance and business findings with executives to facilitate greater transparency and faster decision-making.
- Develop and own model governance and monitoring to ensure fit for purpose and high-quality model documentation and controls.
- Gather and analyze data needed for CCBX partner analysis based on Program Agreements and what-if scenarios.
- Analyze, merge, reconcile data, and perform complex analysis.
- Reconcile monthly and quarterly financial results to forecasted expectations and prepare timely and insightful fluctuation analyses.
- Prepare supporting schedules for internal and external financial reporting.
- Assist Finance team with various ad/hoc special projects and scenario analysis.
- Ensure proper controls are operating as designed for regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as required to support the Finance department.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Knowledge of and experience working with G/L, FP&A, and BI reporting systems and tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including working with Excel, Power BI, and large data sets.
- Complex problem-solving skills, including the ability to logically structure an appropriate analytical data framework for reporting and analyzing data.
- Ability to research, extract, analyze and merge data from disparate systems and perform complex analysis.
- A strong acumen for continuous process improvement, systems automation, and robust quantitative analysis. Constantly finds ways to contribute, deliver outcomes, and be more efficient.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (or similar field of study).
- CPA, MBA, CFA, and/or CMA designation preferred.
- 5-10 years of relevant and progressive experience in FP&A functions at a growing financial services organization. Community banking and/or fintech banking experience preferred.
