As a DOT Driver you will be responsible for safely operating a collection truck while driving through neighborhoods and communities across the country. You will get the chance to provide reliable, friendly, and consistent service for our customers who rely on us for an essential service.

The DOT Driver will help keep communities safe and clean.
As a DOT Driver you will be responsible for safely operating a collection truck while driving through neighborhoods and communities across the country. You will get the chance to provide reliable, friendly, and consistent service for our customers who rely on us for an essential service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment
- Displaying consistent attention to safety in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations
- Collect delivery instructions from dispatcher, verifying instructions and routes
- Maintaining logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
- Reporting any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
- Driving trucks to weigh stations to document weights and to comply with state regulations
- Transports non-hazardous and hazardous materials in accordance with applicable guidelines, DOT, and company safety procedures
- Handling various products, hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Performing industrial work and biohazard cleanups
- Staging, profiling, and processing for disposal hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Assist in the removal of soil, debris and other materials, and cleaning up spill sites
- Operate and clean equipment
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a professional driver, with DOT-regulated vehicles.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to but not limited to 60 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS
- 5 years truck driving experience
- HAZWOPER and Confined Space
- CDL endorsements X and P
- TWIC card preferred
PHYSICAL/ MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing at times. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 60 pounds. Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders. May occasionally deal with heights. Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, employees and managers. Effective conflict resolution abilities. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form. Ability to read, write and do mathematics. Ability to wear Personal Equipment, including Respiratory Protection. Consist of both office setting and physical jobsite. Able to work in confined spaces when needed.
