Description

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies to support the Library’s marketing and fundraising goals. This role involves leveraging digital channels, data analytics, and marketing automation to enhance the Library’s online presence and engagement. The incumbent will also be responsible for the administration and optimization of the CRM and marketing automation platforms.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of social media and targeted email campaigns, from content creation to execution and performance analysis. Collaborate with the Communications and Development teams on digital marketing projects leveraging CRM data.
  • Handle the administration of CRM and marketing automation platforms, including routine maintenance, workflow management, data formatting and imports, third-party integration upkeep, and ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Research and analyze data to provide actionable insights on advertising, promotional resources, and targeted email campaigns.
  • Manage the social media presence for the Linda Hall Library President, including content creation, posting, scheduling, and overall account management.
  • Create user accounts, provide support for new users, and develop training materials to enhance database quality and streamline processes.
  • Prepare programmatic and organizational reports and departmental performance dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, PowerPoint, or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to conduct prospect research and wealth screenings. 
  • Prepare Marketing and Communications presentation materials in alignment with the Library’s brand guidelines.
  • Complete all other duties in support of the department, including maintaining inventory of marketing collateral and branded materials and providing programming and event assistance as needed.  
  • Complete all other duties as assigned or requested to support the Library.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience and expertise.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with CRMs, marketing technology systems, digital analytics, and digital marketing, including Salesforce CRM and Pardot, or other comparable platforms.
  • Confident marketing writer with at least 2-3 years of experience in journalism and/or business writing.
  • Strong technical skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and marketing automation applications. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex data analysis, is critical for success in the role. 
  • Strong understanding of marketing and communications strategies, particularly in email marketing, social media, and analytics. 
  • 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing data analysis, with a solid grasp of relevant terminology, methods, strategies, and metrics.
  • Proficiency in data security and privacy policies.
  • Proven experience creating performance dashboards and business analytics visuals using Power BI, Tableau, PowerPoint, or similar platforms.


Desirable

  • Experience with website design and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Working experience in Salesforce and Salesforce Certification is highly desirable.
