MPR Services is seeking Process Operator Trainees to support our growing business supporting the petrochemical industry.

As a Process Operator you must have the ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 60% to 80% of time  on extended consecutive day assignments. In addition, a basic  understanding of refinery processes and an interest and ability to work  in a service role is critical. Experience in operations of amine/glycol  systems is highly preferred as well.

In the first 90 days of employment, Operator Trainees will receiving training to move to full operator status.


Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate safe work practice and reporting any unsafe conditions
  • Successfully complete all assigned plant training programs.
  • Capable on operating MPR mobile equipment according to standard operating procedure
  • Capable to run night shift and complete chemistry for on time delivery to the day supervisor
  • Capable to trouble shoot and solve minor problems during the night shift
  • Demonstrate good character and value TEAM WORK
  • Ask questions when problems arises and also for personal development
  • Assist in shop equipment maintenance and activities
  • Understanding in MPR anion/cation removal technology and operation
  • Understanding and interpreting lab results
  • Demonstrate  the ability and also be proficient in the setup, tear down and load out  of equipment at customer locations under supervision
  • Perform rounds on the job and reporting any changes in operations and surroundings
  • Safely operate various support equipment (e.g., forklift)
  • Abide by MPR services work policy

What you need to know:

  • A combination of either a Process Technology Certificate or Degree or equivalent process operating experience is preferred.
  • Experience in operations of amine/glycol systems is a plus.
  • Requires a rudimentary understanding of refinery processes.
  • Must be able to understand and explain basic chemical and physical concepts.
  • Requires a firm grasp of the English language, excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • The ability to stay calm and reason through problems is a strong plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 60-80% time on extended consecutive day assignments.
  • Must be able to self-direct, stay on-task and be productive with little or no direct supervision.
  • Physically capable of lifting 5-70 pounds.
  • Possession or able to obtain/maintain a Passport and Transportation Worker’s Identification Card.
  • Must be willing and able to work 12 hour shifts.
