We are currently recruiting a Child and Adolescent Therapist to provide outpatient counseling services to children and adolescents in our Mankato clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families, as well as expertise in play therapy techniques. This role is 40 hours/week and the applicant selected will be eligible for Christian Family Solutions' full benefits package. This benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, short and long term disability, 401(K) plan and match policy, and PTO. Hours for this position are flexible between 8am-5pm, 5 days per week. 


What you will be doing

As a Child and Adolescent Therapist, you will be responsible for conducting individual therapy sessions for children, utilizing play therapy interventions to address a variety of emotional and behavioral issues. Additionally, this role will collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the child’s care to ensure comprehensive and coordinated treatment. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a Human Services related field (psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work or a closely related field) required. 
  • Must be a fully licensed mental health professional as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or be working toward the completion of supervised hours as an in-training counselor (LPC, APSW, LMFT-IT, MFT-IT).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents. 
  • Ability to work professionally with parents/family system of the child/client.
  • Be a team-player who is collaborative, eager, respectful, disciplined, and accountable.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Active member of a WELS, ELS or confessional Lutheran church preferred.
  • Willingness to support the mission of Christian Family Solutions.
  • A high degree of responsibility in maintaining confidentiality in all matters pertaining to work.
  • Timely and accurate submission of documentation of services and other documents as required.
  • Conduct all services and therapeutic activities from a Christian-based clinical theological perspective.
