This role contributes to NFPA’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic initiatives developing plans and overseeing IT projects across a broad spectrum of disciplines. As a Senior Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop project deliverables and meet overall goals within set budgets and timelines. You will communicate and collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure that our projects align and support company objectives and milestones. You must possess excellent communication skills and make judgments based on experience. The Senior Project Manager role plays an important part in our company’s product development process.


PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES


· Collaborate closely with stakeholders to clearly define the scope, objectives, and outcomes of IT projects.

· Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.

· Lead and support the cross-functional team throughout the project, including, but not limited to, project initiation, development, testing, deployment, and post launch.

· Apply critical thinking skills to understand and work with both existing and new application software within enterprise systems.

· Coordinate and organize project meetings, including sprint events, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

· Maintain continuous communication with all project members, including senior team members, to monitor project deliverables and progress.

· Identify and assist the team in the management, mitigation, and resolution of project-related issues, dependencies, and risks as needed.

· Work with vendors and other NFPA managers to ensure adequate resources are in place to complete the required work assignments in the specified time.

· Offer feedback, advice, project updates, and encouragement to team members to foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

EXPERIENCE


· Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and prior technical experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
