We are currently seeking a Full-Time dental hygienist, preferably a public health dental hygienist, to join our established, experienced dental team in providing onsite dental services to incarcerated individuals. The hygienist would be responsible for providing hygiene services, patient education, as well as assist in daily administrative and reporting responsibilities. Services are conducted in a controlled/secure environment; therefore, the successful candidate will be required to pass a facility background clearance. Full-time benefits including 401K, health insurance, paid holidays and vacation.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to professional standards within the practice of dental hygiene
• Perform routine hygiene services within a defined scope of care for scheduled patients
• Assess oral health, report findings to dentist and document patient encounter in Electronic Medical Record
• Provide patient education on oral health as relates to overall health  
• Work in conjunction with the on location dental team
• Function as chairside dental assistant during absence of the primary dental assistant
• Communicate with Corrections Manager at the Corporate Office on a regular basis
• Assist as needed with updating Company protocols to ensure compliance with dental industry standards 

Qualifications:

• Possess an active, unrestricted license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  
• Active and current dental radiology certificate
• Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Hygienist 
• Experience in public health hygiene preferred but not required
• Must successfully pass background clearances
• Must be reliable and dependable
