About the role


We are seeking a highly motivated Funding Specialist with a background in business banking to join our growing team focused on Term Loans. In this role, you will leverage your business banking expertise to identify and close term loan opportunities for small to mid-sized businesses. Your deep understanding of financial products and business banking relationships will play a critical role in delivering tailored lending solutions to help our clients thrive.

Requirements
  • Proactively identify and engage with businesses seeking term loans, utilizing leads.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with small and mid-sized business owners, understanding their financial needs and providing expert advice on available loan solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the loan application and approval process, ensuring a smooth and transparent experience.
  • Leverage your business banking background to consult clients on the benefits, structure, and terms of our lending products, offering tailored solutions to meet their financial goals.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, credit, and legal teams to ensure loan applications meet guidelines and the loan origination process is seamless.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to evaluate clients' financial situations, cash flow, creditworthiness, and repayment capabilities to determine the feasibility of offering term loan options.
  • Engage in price negotiations, address client objections, and work towards closing deals that are beneficial for both the client and the company.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by actively managing a pipeline of potential clients, ensuring consistent follow-ups and relationship management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive financial products to offer best-in-class service to clients.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking opportunities, and business banking forums to generate new business.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in business banking or commercial lending, with a strong understanding of term loans and small business financial products.
  • Proven success in a B2B sales role, particularly in selling financial services or lending products to small and mid-sized businesses.
  • In-depth knowledge of business banking practices, lending regulations, and credit analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
  • Self-driven, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Experience with CRM software and managing sales pipelines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field (preferred).

Salary Range 


$60k plus Commissions
