As a leader in the Microplane business unit, this position works alongside the management team helping strategize and implement marketing efforts for our company’s products by coordinating meetings, organizing teams and creating and maintaining marketing content. They carry the responsibility of supervising key campaigns, conducting market research and reviewing consumer data. This role will coordinate and lead initiatives that cross departments and provide analytical & consultive support for team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Tradeshow planning
- Creating sales presentations, sell sheets, promotions, planograms
- Communicates with sales team to establish goals and determine effective marketing strategies
- Updates and gathers marketing data to create reports and present significant information to the team
- Writing and submitting press release copy
- Packaging support
- Coordinating product development/launch processes
- Manage price sheets
- Work with team to coordinate marketing efforts between B2B & B2C
Leadership
- Be the voice of marketing for new product development. Lead and communicate all product development milestones to internal team. Will include coordinating and approving packaging, cost/pricing, channel strategy, and other marketing collateral.
- Decision-maker using data, analytical thinking, and wisdom.
- Work with the team to create and communicate strategic business plans, including steppingstones for achieving results in sales, marketing, and new product launch.
- Manage and Coordinate trade shows, catalog updates, promotions, and product launch.
- Above all, be a team player that leads by example, welcomes ideas and appreciates diversity.
Travel
- Expect to travel for trade shows, corporate summits, and training.
Key Qualifications/Skills
- Marketing degree required or equivalent (Related programs also include psychology, sales and advertising or communications.)
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, project management and graphic design.
- Extensive knowledge in graphic design, including knowledge of photoshop & adobe illustrator.
- Proven record of accomplishment of relationship development with other business units, suppliers, and co-workers
- Advanced skills in problem-solving, leading, and implementing new projects/processes
- Ability to help with other businesses within Grace Diversified portfolio, though majority of time will be spent in Microplane business unit.
- Exposure to learn manufacturing principles.
- Extremely organized and detailed.
- Strong managerial skills (e.g., critical thinking, problem solving and decision making; savvy team coach/mentor; employee/team development, motivation and engagement)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, expert level Excel and familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Ability to manage a digital asset management system.
- Effective communicator for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Bilingual in Spanish a definite plus, but not required.
- Google Analytics Certification a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit or stand in a stationary position up to 100% of the time.
- Must be able to walk in an office and production environment up to 100% of the time.
- Must be able to exchange accurate and concise information verbally in person and on the phone.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
