The Senior Machine Learning (ML) Engineer will be a self-starter and technical leader who will work closely with the Principal Machine Learning Engineer to continue progress on projects and help shape new directions for the organization. They will work closely with internal and external teammates in a very collaborative environment to take technologies to new software and services.  The Senior ML Engineer will have strong communication skills both orally and in writing. 


We are looking for ML Engineers from all areas of machine learning and artificial intelligence, but significant experience in a focus area is required.  The candidate must be results-oriented, intellectually curious, able to demonstrate ability for independent research, and provide hands-on technical leadership. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work closely with internal partners to see your ideas realized in multiple products and services. 

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • DOD experience
  • Must be able to work EST business hours 
  • 6+ years of hands-on Data Science or ML Engineering experience (4+ if you have a PhD)
  • 4+ years of strong programming fluency in Python
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in computer vision and natural language processing. Strong experience with image recognition, object detection, segmentation, and NLP techniques such as sentiment analysis, text classification, and topic modeling.
  • Advanced degree in Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, or related experience
  • Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architectures (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current large-scale distributed software systems.
  • Deep expertise in machine learning frameworks and tools. Proficiency in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and langchain.

  • Experience with generative AI techniques and tool deployment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to develop and translate machine learning solutions into scalable production implementations
  • Applied experience building models containing disparate data streams.
  • Desire to be involved in multiple diverse and innovative projects
  • Demonstrated experience to capture and win work
  • Proposal writing experience


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building and/or working with data pipelines and data lakes
  • Experience using scale-out cloud and/or HPC architectures for parallel programming
  • 3+ years of managerial experience
