Are you an RN or LPN that is looking change your scope of practice? Join us for our RN/LPN fellowship program.
Our RN/LPN Fellowship program is designed to support nurses that want to change their scope of practice to pediatric psychiatric nursing.
- ANPD transition to practice course provided
- Extended orientation – 3-4 months
- Weekly support check ins with our Nursing Education Team while on orientation
- Monthly support check ins with our Nursing Education Team for the first year
Training in all RN areas of the hospital – Acute, Residential, and Admissions
Classroom training on:
Medication in the pediatric psychiatric setting
Milieu Management and managing aggression
Trauma responsive care
Self-Care and stress management
Therapeutic communication and de-escalation
Crisis Prevention Institute training
Assessment skills for psychiatric nursing

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE;
- Must be a graduate of a RN nursing program.
- Currently licensed (or licensed upon hire) to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Montana or state recognized by the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as RN or LPN preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Must be currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Montana or any state recognized by the Nurse Licensure Compact.
