Description

We are a highly-rated family dental practice in the South Denver area near Park Meadows. We are growing and adding an EDDA-Dental Assistant to our team. Our team consists of responsible, hard-working, and patient-oriented staff members.  We seek to add an EDDA-Dental Assistant with three or more years of experience working in general dentistry. Office Hours:

Monday-Friday (availability between 7am-4:30pm)


Responsibilities: 

  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during dental procedures 
  • Take and develop dental x-rays 
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment 
  • Assist with dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals 
  • Perform dental charting and record patient information 
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care 
  • Maintain infection control protocols and ensure aseptic technique is followed 
  • Manage dental supplies inventory and order as needed 
  • Schedule patient appointments and handle dental receptionist duties as required

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in general dentistry
  • Valid certification as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA)
  • Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and operating CAD systems
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
  • Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
  • Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
  • Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and interpretation of results is a plus
  • Familiarity with taking vital signs and recording patient information accurately
