Regional Sales Manager
Description

The Regional Sales Manager will be customer centric, able to build foundational relationships with our product end users (OEM, municipalities, and contractors) and our distribution partners. This role will have a strong technical understanding of our products and sales process and solve problems while closing sales. The Regional Sales Manager will manage a multi-state sales territory selling directly and managing a network of Manufacturers Representatives.   


Responsibilities 

  • Maintain working relationships with our existing distributor customers to ensure that they continue to receive exceptional service and grow their business.  
  • Regularly communicate performance with Manufactures Representatives to hold them accountable for their performance and support them in the field when necessary.  
  • Identify new sales agencies that are respected in the industry and best align with the company strategy.  
  • Identify and support customer relationships and develop plans to gain further wallet share  
  • Identify, negotiate, and implement new stocking agreements. 
  • Develop and implement a sales action plan based on a thorough data analysis of the territory sales and aligned to the company sales plan.  
  • Identify new prospects, set web conferences and in-person appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business in all product categories.  
  • Obtain and maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the fit, form and function for our PUPCO products and to understand the various industry standards and how they meet and exceed the needs of customers.  
  • Perform consistent follow up on all outstanding quotations, generate new leads, build new relationships, foster better relationships with existing customers, organize daily calendar and schedule to call on existing and potential customers routinely.  
  • Prepare weekly sales pipeline reports and customer sales data reports as needed.  
  • Achieve defined sales goals.   

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Any knowledge of Waterworks, PVF, Fire Protection, Electrical, or Datacom products.
  • Knowledge of distribution and manufacturers reps’ market.  
  • Existing relationships with contractors and municipalities.  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills. 

Education and Experience

  • Proficiency with ERP, CRM – IE: or other sales management software 
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

Working Conditions 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds for short periods. 
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% to build customer relationships, prospect new customers, work with manufacturers’ representatives, and attend industry shows.
