As a Member Service Representative, you will be tasked with performing general teller functions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments. Throughout your time with us you will gain useful skills and the knowledge that will help you grow your career with us or another financial institution. Many members of our current lending, management and marketing staff began as Member Service Representatives and were promoted into their current roles. What we look for in a potential employee is someone that is organized, can multi-task, has a willingness to learn and help and, most importantly, can build relationships with our Bluestone FCU members and staff.
Hours are 8:15AM to5:15PM, Monday through Thursday, 8:15AM to 6:15PM on Friday.
Rotating Saturdays 8:45AM to 12:15PM.

We match 401K contributions up to 6% and have an annual profit sharing contribution. All employees start with an accrual of 15 days of Paid Time Off, are eligible for Holiday pay (generally 11 per year) and get their birthday off!
Qualified candidates should have excellent communication skills, be detailed oriented, work well with others, have a high school diploma and be able to pass a background and credit check to the company’s satisfaction.
Previous cash handling and customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Pay varies depending on experience starting from $17.00 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet members and provide exceptional member service
- Process transactions including, but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, loan and card payments, check withdrawals, bond redemption and cash advances
- Prove cash and checks at end of day
- Receive and process requests for, but not limited to, wires, stop payments, verification of deposits, ordering checks and debit cards, issuing gift, travel and everyday spending cards
- Process negotiable instruments for collection purposes on a daily basis
- Open and close sub accounts and memberships
- Respond to inquiries and process all transactions related to IRA’s
- Actively solicit products & services with new and existing members in conjunction with the marketing and overall goals of the Credit Union
- Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness and security of work area, equipment, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by any MRS II, MSR III or Management Team Member

Qualifications, Education and Experience Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience helpful
- Must pass a credit and background check to company’s satisfaction
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Accurate and detail oriented
- Typing, 10 key and computer experience
- Team player, work well with others, positive attitude
- Exceptional customer service skills
Working Condition and Physical requirements:
- Normal office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, etc.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must work in branch locations, not a work from home position
