We are seeking a passionate and skilled Corporate Recruiter & HR Specialist to join our team and help us find the right talent while also supporting our HR initiatives.


Position Overview: As a Corporate Recruiter & HR Specialist, you will play a critical role in our talent acquisition efforts and overall HR functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in recruitment and human resources, with a strong understanding of screening, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes. You will craft compelling job descriptions, develop engaging postings, and build relationships to attract top talent to our resorts while managing various HR tasks across our locations in Arizona and California. Although this position is primarily remote, candidates must reside in California or Arizona, as occasional travel to and from sister properties will be required. 

Requirements


Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide hiring managers through the recruitment and selection process, providing training and support as needed.
  • Promote and maintain the Sky Valley Resorts brand to attract top talent.
  • Assist in developing annual and seasonal recruitment strategies for various business units.
  • Manage job requisitions, applicant flow, resume screening, and interview coordination.
  • Create and maintain interview questions and hiring best practices, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
  • Source candidates through internal marketing, job boards, social networks, and other media.
  • Build relationships with community job placement services, colleges, and local schools.
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs and hiring events.
  • Screen candidates for availability, interest, qualifications, and compliance.
  • Ensure recruiting and onboarding processes comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Initiate and track pre-employment screening processes.
  • Maintain documentation related to recruiting efforts.
  • Develop and maintain job description and posting libraries.
  • Assist with orientation and new hire paperwork.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics, scorecards, and track costs.
  • Support HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, and performance management.
  • Provide HR training and guidance to management and staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in recruitment and human resources is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Arizona and California employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of compliance issues related to hiring, onboarding, and employee relations in both states.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social/mobile applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Experience using The Disc Assessment or other pre-employment assessments is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects occurring simultaneously.
  • A friendly demeanor and genuine interest in the needs of team members and the company.
