Description
The Benefits Specialist performs benefits administrative functions and provides day-to-day support to Lighthouse Autism Center employees. The duties of this position require strong organization and communication aptitude, attention to detail, a high level of confidentiality and extensive experience in process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain company benefits programs.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for various employee benefits programs, including group health, flexible spending accounts, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), COBRA, and wellness benefits.
- Assist employees with general benefits questions and educate as needed on company-specific benefits policies.
- Assist with the open enrollment process.
- Coordinate leaves of absence with the leave administration TPA, including communicating leaves to managers, updating timecards, and drafting insurance repayment agreements.
- Assist employees in completing benefits enrollments on HRIS platform.
- Ensure enrollment changes are entered appropriately in system for payroll deduction.
- Assist Director in running enrollment reports for health, life, and retirement plans.
- Prepare meetings and communication designed to help employees understand company benefits and other related incentive programs.
- Benefits Program evaluation and process improvement
- Total Rewards project work as assigned.

Requirements
- Candidates need to be located in the EST or CST time zones. Cannot consider candidates in NY, Washington DC, NJ or MA
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience
- Experience processing benefits administration for 500+ employees
