Deltech has an exciting opportunity available for a remote Sales Account Manager (ideally in the Midwest) to be an integral part of the Sales team. The position will maintain and grow Deltech Polymer sales; identify and develop new opportunities for existing products; and maintain positive relationships with customers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Plan and prioritize customer/prospect contacts, meetings, and projects towards achieving agreed sales volume and price targets.
- Maintain and expand sales in the key market segments with existing products such as heat foam, compounding & injection molding.
- Promote and develop sales in new markets and new applications working closely with the Technical Development Director.
- Manage distributor relations to meet the demands and strategy of the Polymers business unit.
- Develop account penetration working with the Director of Technology and Product Development through multiple layered and functional contacts including purchasing, technology, business, supply chain, and manufacturing personnel.
- Respond to, validate, and follow up on customer inquiries for samples, data, pricing, and availability.
- Gain an understanding of key account and market competitive technology alternatives to help the business understand how to maximize margin.
- Calibrate customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
- Establish prospect list, account plans and strategies. Regularly review and update the plans.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: At least 10 years in sales; polystyrene sales experience preferred
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability of understanding how products are used in customer applications.
- Demonstrated ability to expand sales by development of new opportunities.
- Understanding of value selling and demonstrated experience in value selling; aggressive sales development skills; ability to convert technical opportunities into commercial business.
- Track record of new business development.
- Excellent communication skills and negotiation skills.
