Lead/Principal Impact Measurement Advisor

Description

We’re seeking an experienced consultant to support our Impact Measurement practice area. We are open to candidates qualified to fill advisor roles at the Lead and Principal level a variety of different levels within the organization; 5-10 years of relevant experience conducting work in the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) space and/or with applied research, data collection, and data analysis experience (quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods) is preferred. Consulting experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Impact Measurement 

  • Design and conduct qualitative (e.g., interviews, focus groups) and quantitative (e.g., surveys) data collection and analysis.
  • Design and implement surveys using multiple software platforms, especially Qualtrics.
  • Conduct statistical analysis using tools like R, Python, Stata, or SPSS and qualitative analysis using tools like Atlas.ti or MAXQDA. Quantitative skills are strongly preferred.
  • Produce rigorous data insights products (e.g. briefs, reports, decks, infographics, etc.) that convey accurate information in a compelling narrative and/or visual manner.
  • Design  and implement MEL frameworks and research projects that leverage MEL across multiple industries and topics. 
  • Advise on the setting of goals, standards, and indicators.
  • Conduct and incorporate research on measurement trends in fields like employee experience and customer experience.
  • Adjust and right-size MEL approaches and solutions based on client needs and capacity.
  • Produce training materials, guidebooks, and other capacity building materials to strengthen client MEL capabilities.
  • Maintain and implement MEL best practices internally and externally.

Project Management and Leadership

  • Manage and support multiple projects running concurrently, including leading teams and managing personnel. 
  • Engage directly with clients to build trust, understand needs, and obtain feedback.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions with various stakeholders.
  • Conceptualize project needs and define action steps for accomplishing milestones and deliverables while meeting project deadlines.
  • Work closely with a team using human-centered design problem solving to inform user-centered MEL design and implementation.
  • Support internal capacity building, business development, and knowledge management.
Requirements

Required Skill- and Mindsets

Impact Measurement 

  • Experience translating MEL/impact measurement best practices into a variety of sectors and settings, balancing real-world considerations with rigor and quality.
  • Experience designing theories of change and logical frameworks.
  • Experience developing and overseeing implementation of MEL plans, processes, and products from design to dissemination strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing various types of mixed-methods evaluations, research studies, and/or monitoring programs.
  • Ability to think creatively and analytically about data to define data collection approaches and analysis plans.
  • Experience and interest in designing and leading surveys, interviews, focus groups, and/or other forms of data collection.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including data cleaning, data quality review, data management, data coding, analysis, statistics, sampling methodologies, statistical analysis software, data collection, synthesis, and validation.
  • Experience designing data dashboards and visualizations.
  • Proven ability to create insights reports, executive briefings, etc. for technical and lay audiences, especially utilizing narrative and visuals to convey data findings.

Employee and Customer Experience

  • Interest in and experience working to improve the employee experience and/or customer experience for government agencies, human services organizations, and/or grantmaking organizations.
  • Willingness to quickly get up to speed on client context to deliver high quality employee and/or customer experience support based on client-specific history, frameworks, and approaches.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective and trusted working relationships with a geographically and culturally diverse range of stakeholders from various industries.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Type of Position: Full-time strongly preferred. This role will be remote with occasional travel for client engagements. 


Compensation: The salary range for this position is $100,000–$150,000, depending on experience and education. In addition to a competitive base salary, Frontier offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes flexible work schedules, 20 days of paid time off, 11 paid federal holidays, immediate 401K contribution, health/dental & vision insurance and more. All employees are also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.
