The Gist

As an Agile Business Analyst within our consulting team, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing business processes, facilitating requirements elaboration, and driving efficiency and effectiveness within the Federal government. This position requires a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.


What Your Day Might Include...

  • Actively contribute to Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with teammates and Product Owners to ensure Agile principles and methodologies are applied effectively to drive project success.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting Agile best practices and values
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, goals, and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and industry best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Evaluate and interpret data to develop actionable insights and recommendations for process enhancements, cost reduction, revenue generation, and operational efficiency.
  • Define and document business requirements, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications to guide development and implementation efforts.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and establish project objectives.
  • Implement best practices in data management, ensuring data quality, governance, and accessibility.
  • Work with data engineers to create data mesh architectures that support data democratization and enable self-service data access.
  • Utilize data mesh principles to build data platforms that scale and promote data collaboration across the organization
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on business strategies, change management, and process improvements.
  • Create compelling and insightful presentations and reports to communicate findings, recommendations, and implementation plans to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful project delivery, on-time and within budget, while meeting quality standards and client expectations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and methodologies to enhance the quality and efficiency of service delivery.
Requirements

You'll Bring These Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree +4 years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical solutions.
  • Proven experience in Agile methodologies, business analysis, and data analysis in a consulting or similar environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and associated tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
