Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise DMPD Interns to ensure the flow of daily routine by updating and implementing policies and procedures; overseeing DMPD Operations departmental budgets; training in the use of the finance side of Banner; monitoring attendance records, personnel files, and key requisitions; and operation of the Front Office daily operations. 
  • Supervise DMPD Auxiliary Officer Program by updating and implementing policies and procedures; overseeing DMPD Auxiliary budget; hiring and training; monitoring attendance records and personnel files. 
  • Manage DMPD Parking Citation System by maintaining DMPD Parking Enforcement Section to include cross-referencing, verifying, and reconciling Department Citations against departmental tracking detail to find and resolve discrepancies promptly, payment of citation, unpaid citation,Citation Holds Roster, Issuance of student and employee holds and removal. 
  • ERP Committee operations coordinator for Chair of ERP or Department Lieutenant. 
  • Develop and maintain the Departmental website, to include meeting with DMPD administrators to gather current information; drafting the layout and language for approval; and working in concert with the other DMPD administrator of Jean Clery, Investigation, ERP in creating a current and cohesive website. 
  • Provide technical support for various departmental systems to include but not limited to: University Access Control System; serve as contact for the copier and facsimile machines for the area, assisting individuals with problems and contacting the vendor when service or supplies are needed. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education – A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
  • Experience – Six months to two years (Equivalent combination of Education and Employment).

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Access is required with a strong computer aptitude for learning various computer applications; Banner experience preferred.
  • Must be adaptable with ability to accept and support change, highly skilled at multitasking and detailed orientated, able to effectively work independently or in a team environment, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and a clean well-groomed appearance that creates a positive impression with customers and coworkers.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and confident working in a professional environment.

Physical Requirements

Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 25 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 25 pounds).


Work Environment

Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.


Licenses/Certifications

A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Commensurate with experience


Anticipated Schedule  

Monday – Friday 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM
