Description
The Respiratory Therapist will:
- Use Respiratory Assessment throughout all areas of the hospital when caring for patients.
- Follow the AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines.
- Promote compassionate, efficient, cost effective quality patient care, while demonstrating qualities consistent for the role.
- Incorporate teaching principles into all practices.
- Show use of written and verbal communication skills in all aspects of the role.
The shift for this position is 7:00 PM- 7:00 AM.
Requirements
- Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Vermont Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Registration or Certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- One (1) year clinical experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate (preferred)
- Two (2) years' clinical experience, including emergency care (preferred)
- Experience with outpatient testing, i.e., PFT, stress testing, cardiac monitors (preferred)
