Description

We have a state-of-the-art dental practice at Fort Belvoir as part of Army and Air Force Exchange Services specifically servicing Military Families and Military Veterans. Our practice has a family feel and we focus on building relationships with our patients. Making sure to provide each of our patients with the best quality care.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily morning team huddle and weekly Hygiene Huddle.
  • Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
  • Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontists.
  • Apply fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
  • Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
  • Present Treatment Plan to patients and provide health education to improve and maintain oral health
  • Dental x-rays & Dental Impressions.
  • Record treatment information in patient records.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to build rapport with patients.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication.
Requirements
  • Current Registered State Dental Hygienist License
  • At least 1-2 years of Dental Hygienist experience
  • X-Ray Certified
  • CPR/BLS
  • Valid Driver License; Reliable Transportation
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Real ID prior to starting.
  • Dentrix knowledge preferred (training will be provided)
  • Extensive HIPAA knowledge
