We have a state-of-the-art dental practice at Fort Belvoir as part of Army and Air Force Exchange Services specifically servicing Military Families and Military Veterans. Our practice has a family feel and we focus on building relationships with our patients. Making sure to provide each of our patients with the best quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily morning team huddle and weekly Hygiene Huddle.
- Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontists.
- Apply fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
- Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
- Present Treatment Plan to patients and provide health education to improve and maintain oral health
- Dental x-rays & Dental Impressions.
- Record treatment information in patient records.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to build rapport with patients.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication.
- Current Registered State Dental Hygienist License
- At least 1-2 years of Dental Hygienist experience
- X-Ray Certified
- CPR/BLS
- Valid Driver License; Reliable Transportation
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Real ID prior to starting.
- Dentrix knowledge preferred (training will be provided)
- Extensive HIPAA knowledge
