We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the operational efficiency, safety, and overall condition of our facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, be able to work independently, and possess a proactive approach to facility maintenance issues.

Requirements

1. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

2. Identify, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and infrastructure issues, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.

3. Perform preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled to avoid breakdowns and extend the lifespan of facility assets.

4. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls, providing timely and efficient solutions.

5. Assist in the installation, modification, and relocation of facility equipment and systems as needed.

6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory, ensuring documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.

7. Collaborate with external contractors and service providers on maintenance and repair projects, ensuring work is completed according to specifications.

8. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to OSHA guidelines, to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

9. Support facilities team in setting up and breaking down for company events or meetings as required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

1. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and repair issues.

2. Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

3. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

4. Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with team members and external contractors.


Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. Technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field preferred.

3. Certification in a relevant maintenance discipline (e.g., HVAC, electrical) is a plus.

4. Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a facilities, manufacturing, or similar environment.

5. Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and general maintenance practices.

6. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance management software.


Additional Comments

1. Position will be based in Jefferson City, MO.

2. The duties of this position are typically carried out in a laboratory or manufacturing environment. No overnight travel is anticipated.


***This position may require the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly as an essential function of the role.  As well as stand or move on their feet throughout the day.***
