Job Summary
As our Electronic Technician, you’ll contribute to the maintenance of electrical systems aboard a variety of boats.?This is an opportunity to work with premium brands like Garlin, Raymarine, and Furuno. The ideal candidate will be skilled in marine electrical systems, interpreting schematics, and troubleshooting onboard electronics. Responsibilities
- Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic equipment to test and repair electrical systems. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair navigation, communication, and sonar systems, including GPS, radar, VHF radios, and depth sounders.
- Product Lines: Must be comfortable working with Garmin, Raymarine, Furuno, and other types of electronic-related products.
- Testing: Test systems using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and other equipment. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize system failures and ensure vessel reliability.?Maintain a detailed record of services.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to manufacturing safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
- Other: All duties as assigned.
- Experience: One (1) year of experience in?marine electrical systems?or related fields.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
- Certifications: Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
- Experience working with marine electrical systems, specifically Garmin technology.
- Strong understanding of DC and AC wiring, diagnostic software, and troubleshooting methods.
- Ability to work from drawings, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of power and hand tools.
