Position Summary
The Private Client Manager (PCM) serves as the primary point of contact for our first-tier private banking clients, driving fulfillment, client management, and servicing efforts. The PCM engages with our client support team, lenders, and other product specialists to help uncover and meet their private client needs and to support commercial banking clients as needed. The PCM is actively involved in developing and delivering proposals and onboarding new clients. The PCM engages in proactive client outreach, builds rapport with clients, ensures that day-to-day servicing is aligned with the Bank’s client experience objectives.
Essential Duties
- Build and maintain trust by consistently providing exceptional service, demonstrating a client-centric focus, and advocating for private clientele.
- Partner with client services and other business lines to onboard, service, and maintain private client accounts.
- Serve as primary point of contact for day-to-day servicing and transactional needs.
- Uncover and understand clients’ current and changing needs, preferences, and strategies.
- Make integrated product and service recommendations to meet clients’ immediate needs and long-term financial goals.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience providing bank products and exceptional customer service to clients; experience in a commercial or private banking/wealth management setting preferred.
- Knowledge of bank product offerings including online banking, bill pay, business accounts, credit cards, merchant services, and treasury management services.
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal banking regulations, account titling, KYC requirements, FDIC insurance, operational policies and procedures, and product features.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures, and interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Competency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to obtain quick proficiency in other key business systems to support a breadth of client solutions.
- Proficiency with math, including ability to reconcile accounts, locate routine mathematical errors, and develop and interpret charts and graphs.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision while performing duties and as part of a team.
