SurePoint is looking for an experienced merchant payment sales leader to join our expanding and growing organization. As a Payment Sales Leader, you will be responsible for selling digital payment acceptance to current legal practice customers in an assigned territory.
The salary range for this role is $100,000-198,000, depending on level of experience.
- Prospecting and conducting general market research are critical and rigorous parts of the regular activity routine, ensuring that new prospects are being added to the pipeline on a consistent basis.
- Move the sale through the sales process and assist in the transition to the professional services team.
- Define and execute territory sales plans.
- Continually learn about new payment industry trends to deliver consultative value in the sales process to traditional businesses not accustomed to digital payments.
- Manage all your respective sales activities including outreach, follow up, cold calls, lead qualification and follow through until implementation.
- Report on all sales activities through Salesforce.
- Stay well informed about current industry trends and be able to talk intelligently about the legal tech solutions industries.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars, and trade shows.
- Prepare written presentations, reports and price quotations.
- Manage sales pipeline while utilizing the sales methodology tools to do so. You will be responsible for a certain degree of forecast accuracy as it relates to your projections.
- Effectively and efficiently employ company resources at appropriate stages in the sales cycle; matching level for level, to grow and advance the sale.
Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a sales role for a merchant services organization which can include ISO, Network, MSP, Reseller, ISV.
- 5+ years of solutions selling experience gained from working in payments, legal, ERP, or the technology environment.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Hunter mentality with demonstrated success prospecting and moving qualified leads through the sales process.
- Strategic and critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity reporting sales activities through Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Travel up to 30% for in-person presentations.
- Candidates must be accessible to New York, Chicago, DC or Los Angeles Metro.
