We are seeking a dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher & Group Supervisor to join our team and create engaging learning experiences that prepare children for lifelong success.
As a Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. You'll have the opportunity to build strong partnerships with families, mentor classroom staff, and make a lasting impact on the lives of young children.
What You'll Do
Create Meaningful Learning Experiences
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with curriculum goals.
- Support each child's individual growth through observation, assessment, and personalized learning opportunities.
- Foster curiosity, creativity, and school readiness through engaging, hands-on experiences.
- Interact with children throughout the day to encourage learning, problem-solving, and positive social skills.
Support Child Development
- Complete developmental screenings and assessments and establish individualized goals for children.
- Communicate assessment results and developmental progress with families.
- Monitor children's growth and adjust learning experiences to meet their evolving needs.
Partner with Families
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and caregivers.
- Maintain open, consistent communication through daily updates, conferences, newsletters, Brightwheel, emails, phone calls, and other communication tools.
- Participate in family engagement events and parent activities.
Lead and Collaborate
- Serve as a positive role model for children and staff.
- Provide guidance, leadership, and supervision to assistant teachers and classroom aides.
- Conduct evaluations and support the professional growth of team members.
- Collaborate with coworkers and leadership to ensure high-quality programming and compliance with licensing standards.
Maintain a Safe and High-Quality Classroom
- Ensure children's safety and supervision at all times.
- Create and maintain a clean, organized, healthy, and welcoming learning environment.
- Keep classroom materials in good condition and ensure compliance with DHS licensing regulations, Keystone STARS, and NAEYC standards.
- Complete required documentation, including lesson plans, attendance records, assessments, incident reports, and other program records.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, reach, and sit on the floor daily.
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Additional Requirements
- Maintain current clearances, NSOR, and health physical requirements.
- Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
- Adhere to all program policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Support the overall success of the childcare program by performing additional duties as needed.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9:30a-5:30p daily.
Group Supervisor I-A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
Group Supervisor I-A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field and one-year experience with children.
Group Supervisor II-an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and two years’ experience with children.
Group Supervisor II-an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and three years experience with children.
