Aspire is seeking a detail-oriented HRIS Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support our HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity, system functionality, and seamless operations. You’ll collaborate with the People and Finance teams to resolve HRIS-related issues, manage system updates, and maintain accurate employee records. Position Summary:
The HRIS Specialist ensures the seamless initiatives and optimization of Aspires Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role provides technical expertise to support HR systems, maintain data accuracy, and drive process improvements. The HRIS Specialist is vital in system administration, maintenance of data integrity, and user support in collaboration with the People and Finance teams. Contributions will extend to entering individuals in the HRIS system, managing HRIS communications, and supporting various People Team initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide operational support and oversight of HRIS
- Provide operational support for all modules of the HRIS system, including Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Time and Labor, Surveys, and HR and Payroll.
- Perform system updates, including configuration, testing, and deployment as needed.
- Collaborate with finance to resolve issues related to HRIS that may impact payroll.
- Support Team Members by providing training tutorials and troubleshooting services.
- Add Parental Leave hours as an accrual type when approved and requested by the Director, Compensation, Benefits, and Compliance. Update the timecards of those on parental leave using available parental leave accruals until exhausted.
- Provide new hire onboarding training for utilization of the HRIS.
- Complete verifications of employment.
- Function as the primary point of contact for resolving HRIS-related issues with the vendor.
Oversee Reporting & Data / HRIS Maintenance
- Maintain data integrity of systems to ensure data is accurate through data entry, audits, and data validation.
- Completes all regulatory reporting, such as EEO1 reports.
- Completes the worksite quarterly report through portal request.
- Ensure that ACA data is accurately reflected and recorded in HRIS system. Conduct audits and ensure that end-of-year checklist related to ACA is completed.
- Maintain the functionality of accrual profiles through validation of rules and updates.
- Manage and maintain the upkeep of HRIS attendance tracking system.
- Create and maintain personnel change forms and functions through HRIS.
- Manage and maintain the upkeep of the HRIS Scheduler.
Provide maintenance of the organization’s system of communication
- Assist in managing and maintaining Aspire’s Intranet page, Aspire Central.
- Maintain data integrity of Aspire email accounts and distribution lists.
- Provide updates to the appropriate team members when there are changes to Aspires distribution lists.
- Provide bi-weekly reports to HR Specialist to update team member data in Relias.

Required Education & Experience:
- High School or GED
- 1 Year of previous HRIS experience
Additional Licensing/Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to write reports and communicate using Outlook
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products and database management, including HRIS management
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, and other end users
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with participants, employees at all levels, families, and the general public
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and days, including some holidays
- Must be self-directed, high energy and motivated with strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience
