The Music People is seeking a passionate and inspired marketing professional with direct experience managing and producing promotional content in the music industry. This role consists of working at a fast pace to complete ongoing projects and submit creative briefs for campaigns that are engaging and innovative. Candidates should have experience creating material from start to finish that varies depending on the type of communication, such as social media posts, eblasts, and website elements. The position works closely with our creative team, supporting our sales and management teams.
Technical skill to compose marketing messages, craft eblasts, and develop new promotional ideas is required for this role. Ability and willingness to participate in the content itself, such as conducting interviews and appearing on camera, is desired. Music industry experience or knowledge of pro audio products is preferred.
This role is also responsible for collaborating with the Vice President of Sales, Art Director, Management, and Director of Product Development to ensure that the marketing message and company objectives are achieved. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are critical. Objectives include attracting new leads, marketing existing products, new product launches and driving web and social media traffic.
Initially, this position will work remotely on a project basis. Candidates should have at least five years of experience freelancing, consulting, or working for clients, preferably in the music industry.
