Senior Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
The Senior Maintenance Technician is accountable directly to the Facilities Manager. This is a full-time/part-time position, based out of Conway Health and Resource Center in SW DC.
Salary – The salary range for this position is $26.44 - $28.84 per hour and the offer amount is determined by the candidate's education, qualifications, and experience. Indeed provides its own estimated salary calculator and is not affiliated with COH’s range.
Highlighted Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance and custodial work, including painting, basic plumbing, minor electrical work, and other minor repairs in a timely manner.
- Provides day to day guidance to maintenance and custodial staff when needed.
- Physically responds to and completes Work Order Requests via the work ticket system in a timely manner and reports status updates to Facilities Manager.
- Assess unit turnover needs and coordinates efforts to make sure unit turnovers are completed within the contract guidelines.
- Physically responds to after-hours emergency maintenance requests as directed by Facilities Manager when on-call.
- Serves as an essential staff member and serves on the COH Snow Team which reports to assigned site for snow removal, rock salt and calcium chloride application to appropriate surfaces, and other tasks as requested by Supervisor.
- Assists with identifying supplies and equipment needs for ordering/purchasing by maintaining/updating the inventory system as needed.
- Completes necessary paperwork associated with contractor/vendor work or repairs as requested/required to document work needed or performed.
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 3+ years experience with basic maintenance and repairs required, 5+ years strongly preferred.
- Able to safely use a variety of hand and power tools in performing duties.
- Punctuality, reliability, and ability to work independently required.
- Must have vehicle and ability to travel to other sites required.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and on call as needed, required.
- Experience with basic computer programs, emailing, and basic cellular phone functions required.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 75 Ibs.
- Frequently ascending/descending stairs and ladders.
- Frequent sitting, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, reaching, grasping and crouching.
- Depth perception and field of vision.
- Working with computers.
- Working with small parts.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we provide medical, dental, emotional wellness, and care coordination services for the whole family at three locations in DC.
