The Associate Business Analyst work involves acting as a liaison between the business/end users and IT systems development teams for business needs requiring IT based solutions. This may include identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives. Additional areas may include making recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology, researching business requirements and documenting the relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices), and translating business requirements into application requirements.
Internally, this role is titled Business Analyst, Associate.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Participating in requirements definition and requirements gathering sessions
- Performing research and analysis to support best practice requirements and business process decisions
- Documenting business requirements in stories and epics
- Providing business process and requirements direction to development teams and/or Programmer/Analysts
- Writing requirements to support testing, training, and documentation teams
- Creating materials to support user guide and training course development
- Developing materials to support partners, sales, marketing, customers, and product information sessions.
- Other duties as assigned
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly grasp and understand both business and technical concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BS in Business, MIS, Computer Science, or related field
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

RSI determines pay range based upon numerous compensation factors, including experience, skill set, and geographic location. A current and reasonable estimated range for this position is $60,000 - $65,500. However, it’s possible for an individual to be hired at a salary outside of this range.
