Position Overview:

 This role will also involve driving a semi and feed trailer or tandem truck to swine facilities in the tri-state area. This position provides a great opportunity to contribute to the agricultural industry and allows drivers to be home every night. 

Essential Job Responsibilities 

• Load feed from overhead bins at the feed mill facility. All feed loads will be assigned and designated by Feed Mill Operator.
• Transport and deliver feed over distances in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner.
• Deliver feed to the correct facility and bin site as designated by paperwork, ensure all feed is unloaded.
• Provide feed receipt tickets to all customers at time of delivery and/or scan QR code to designate feed was delivered.
• Must be able to back in and out of tight areas and unload feed with auger system. 
• Must maintain strict biosecurity including following the “WFR Biosecurity” policy for feed trucks.
• Power-wash trucks, trailers, and disinfect interiors for all trucks driver utilizes, subject to spot inspections. 
• May need to climb feed bins as needed.
• Hook and unhook trailers.
• Install and remove tire chains as required by weather.
• Inspect truck and trailer for defects before and after trips.
• Complete all necessary paperwork, maintaining records.
• Deal with delays, change, or unexpected events. 
• Put safety at the forefront, following all rules and laws.
• Responsible to appropriately utilize WFR fuel cards.

Education and Experience

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of      driving experience. 

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL and valid medical card.
• MVR must pass insurance requirements.
• Will be required to participate in WFR’s drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must have a cell phone with internet capability. 
• Ability to drive in a safe manner.
• Ability to follow all laws and regulations.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. 
• Ability to stand, walk and be on feet.
• Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Capable of doing repeated actions.
• Effectively communicate with team members.

Work Environment 

• Schedule: Monday- Friday. Occasional weekends may be required. Must work scheduled days and hours needed to get each day’s feed delivery completed on time.  Must work full time.
• Environment: indoors and outdoors, dusty environments, hog farms. Nosie level is usually moderate to loud. 
• Travel: This position will travel each day to designated hog facilities.
