Position Overview:
This role will also involve driving a semi and feed trailer or tandem truck to swine facilities in the tri-state area. This position provides a great opportunity to contribute to the agricultural industry and allows drivers to be home every night.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Load feed from overhead bins at the feed mill facility. All feed loads will be assigned and designated by Feed Mill Operator.
- Transport and deliver feed over distances in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner.
- Deliver feed to the correct facility and bin site as designated by paperwork, ensure all feed is unloaded.
- Provide feed receipt tickets to all customers at time of delivery and/or scan QR code to designate feed was delivered.
- Must be able to back in and out of tight areas and unload feed with auger system.
- Must maintain strict biosecurity including following the “WFR Biosecurity” policy for feed trucks.
- Power-wash trucks, trailers, and disinfect interiors for all trucks driver utilizes, subject to spot inspections.
- May need to climb feed bins as needed.
- Hook and unhook trailers.
- Install and remove tire chains as required by weather.
- Inspect truck and trailer for defects before and after trips.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, maintaining records.
- Deal with delays, change, or unexpected events.
- Put safety at the forefront, following all rules and laws.
- Responsible to appropriately utilize WFR fuel cards.

Education and Experience
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
Qualifications
- Must have Class A CDL and valid medical card.
- MVR must pass insurance requirements.
- Will be required to participate in WFR’s drug and alcohol testing program.
- Must have a cell phone with internet capability.
- Ability to drive in a safe manner.
- Ability to follow all laws and regulations.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk and be on feet.
- Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Capable of doing repeated actions.
- Effectively communicate with team members.
Work Environment
- Schedule: Monday- Friday. Occasional weekends may be required. Must work scheduled days and hours needed to get each day’s feed delivery completed on time. Must work full time.
- Environment: indoors and outdoors, dusty environments, hog farms. Nosie level is usually moderate to loud.
- Travel: This position will travel each day to designated hog facilities.
