HVAC Construction Manager

Charlotte Mechanical is seeking a highly experienced and driven HVAC Construction Manager to lead and oversee HVAC scopes within our multi-family construction projects. This individual will be responsible for end-to-end project execution—from planning to closeout—ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule alignment across all initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HVAC construction projects from initiation to completion.
     
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
     
  • Ensure on-time and within-budget delivery across all assigned projects.
     
  • Supervise and coordinate with construction crews and subcontractors to maintain high-quality standards.
     
  • Maintain project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and close-out packages.
     
  • Work in collaboration with the Safety Manager to enforce site safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
     
  • Serve as  point of contact for clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams regarding project requirements and updates.
     
  • Provide routine progress reports and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
     
  • Proactively identify and resolve project risks, conflicts, or delays.
     
  • Balance responsibilities between on-site field management and office-based coordination (approximately 50/50).
Requirements

   

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC project or construction management, preferably in multi-family construction.
     
  • Proven track record of managing HVAC installations and coordinating with diverse trade professionals.
     
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, codes, and construction best practices.
     
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or equivalent).
     
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
     
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
     
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision.
     
  • Comfortable operating in both field and office environments.
