Corporate Paralegal
Description

The Corporate Paralegal reports to the General Counsel of Campbell Companies. This position will split their time between multiple business units within the Campbell Company umbrella. Up to half of the corporate paralegals time will be split between two business units. Duties including, but not limited to: intellectual property, contract review and management, collections, M&A due diligence investigations, business formalities, internal investigations, review and preparation of contracts, and supporting litigation and commercial transactions. An ideal candidate will be highly versatile and a quick learner on a myriad of topics. 


Duties & Responsibilities: 


Document Management: 

  • Contract Management: Review, summarize, and redline contracts for multiple entities.
  • Assist in drafting initial agreements and managing the legal documentation process.
  • Support business units in contract formation and management. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with each business unit held by Campbell Companies. 

Corporate Formalities:

  • Support Executive team in research and compliance matters.
  • Coordinate and oversee all business license renewals. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support legal matters and ensure timely completion of tasks. 

Legal Department Support:

  • Conduct legal research and company searches to support General Counsel.
  • Assist General Counsel with Audit legal spend of outside counsel.
  • Assist in legal research, litigation, and collections efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-8 years of corporate paralegal experience, Utah paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Highly professional, self-motivated, detail oriented, can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills required.
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple business units. 
  • Experience with corporate commercial law, contract law, and multistate employment law.
  • Ability to work independently on complex legal matters. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using legal software such as Link Square or other document management software.
  • Experience in power generation, equipment sales, and manufacturing. 
  • Prior paralegal experience supporting a busy legal team with a variety of legal matters; exposure to corporate transactions, commercial contracts, corporate governance, legislative matters, or real estate matters is preferred.
  • Preparing and filing documents with Utah State e-file system and federal courts.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize scheduling, and working independently to meet deadlines.
