Job Overview:


The Catering Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering events, from initial client consultation to final execution. This role involves coordinating with clients to understand their specific needs, ensuring seamless event planning, and working closely with vendors and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food and service. The Catering Coordinator will manage timelines, logistics, and budgetary constraints while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients to assess catering needs, provide menu suggestions, and develop event plans.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff, suppliers, and external vendors to ensure all event needs are met, including menu items, equipment, and other logistical details.
  • Manage catering schedules, ensuring timely food preparation, delivery, and set-up for events.
  • Oversee event execution, ensuring all aspects of catering are in line with client expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and company policies during event preparation and execution.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, event specifications, and budgets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any last-minute issues that may arise during event planning or on-site execution.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, aiming for repeat business and referrals.
  • Monitor event budgets and expenses, ensuring efficient cost management while delivering high-quality service.
  • Assist with marketing efforts to promote catering services, including attending networking events and building partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in event planning, hospitality, or catering coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and catering logistics.

  • Experience with budgeting and financial management is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift items for extended periods during event preparation and execution.
  • Work may be required during weekends, evenings, and holidays based on event schedules.
