We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Sales to lead and oversee our wholesale operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the division’s sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and managing a high-performance team. This position will play a critical role in ensuring PowerStop’s success by fostering relationships with key partners and customers, optimizing operational efficiency, and contributing to the overall business strategy.
Essential Duties and Key Behaviors:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with existing accounts and onboard new accounts, comprehending their business requirements, and offering solutions that promote sales expansion and value.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the division, aligning it with the company’s overall business objectives.
- Drive revenue and profit growth through effective sales strategies, market analysis, and product assortment planning and monitor market trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute account-specific business plans. Identify trends, market insights, and competitive threats to make an informed strategic approach.
- Prepare financial forecasts, analyze data metrics and reports to track performance, and make data-driven decisions.
- Identify and explore new markets, product lines, and revenue streams and evaluate potential partnerships to enhance the company’s growth.
- Meets and consistently exceeds sales plans on key managed accounts.
- Continuously assess and enhance operational processes, leveraging technology and automation processes as appropriate.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and account updates to management. Monitor and analyze account performance and make data-driven recommendations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or equivalent
- 7+ years of proven experience successfully managing national accounts in the automotive industry, preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Possess strong attention to detail, and ability to interpret and quantify large sets of data.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Proven experience building and managing relationships with clients and closing sales.
- Demonstrated successes in driving revenue growth and profitability in a wholesale environment.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Profound understanding of automotive industry trends and market dynamics
- Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills.
