Overview: Axiom Learning is a startup in the education space, dedicated to empowering students of all ages to find happiness and success. We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Lead Developer to take ownership of the development and ongoing maintenance of our assessment and curricula products. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our digital products while also driving the development of new features in alignment with our product roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of web app development and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the development lifecycle for our assessment and curricula products
• Address bugs, glitches, and feature fixes in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, senior management) to gather requirements and ensure alignment with the product roadmap.
• Build new features for both products, ensuring scalability, user-friendly design, and seamless integration.
• Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance with relevant education standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all development processes, updates, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Work independently to manage development tasks, timelines, and deliverables, while being adaptable to the changing needs of a start-up environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a full-stack web developer with proficiency in front-end and back-end development.
  • Primary tech stack: Python (Anvil), PostgreSQL, HTML/CSS/JS
• Strong experience with database design & management, REST API integrations, and cloud-based deployment.
• Familiarity with the education technology space is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and drive projects to completion in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
