As a Marketing Assistant your duties outlined below will be directed by the Senior Marketing Manager. All areas outlined in this job description are open to additional elements and will be considered dynamic (meaning duties will change depending on the project timeline, priority and need). Additional direction will come from the Senior Marketing Manager, duties that are not mentioned within this document may be examined and added at any time, and other areas may be removed as needed.

Marketing Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily to the Senior Marketing Manager on all projects in the system to manage evolving priorities.
  • Assist with Weekes Web Site development and maintenance.
  • Assist with updates via WordPress dashboard.
  • Assist with coordinating meetings and company events.
  • Design and create marketing collateral for sales team at all divisions as directed.
  • Build a database and send out Constant Contact E-Blasts for divisions, weekly Specials, Show Specials, Product Introductions, etc.
  • Work with print & promo companies for: Quotes on small to large printing projects, signs for trade shows, brochures and mailings, name tags, business cards, envelopes, letterhead, and wearables as needed.
  • Design and create ads for use in industry publications and magazines.
  • Create and send press releases to appropriate trade associations and publications.
  • Produce Corporate Newsletter for internal distribution.
  • Assist with Display & Sample Box Program as needed.
  • Update messages on hold for each division as needed and communicate with service providers to maintain and update annual contracts & miscellaneous projects.
  • Social Media campaign coordination and other duties as determined by Senior Marketing Manager
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

 Requirements

  • High School Diploma or preferably: college degree with focus in an undergraduate course for marketing, design, communications, or a similar field
  • Familiarity with marketing computer software -
    • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Microsoft Office Software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook – Email, Microsoft Teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative-minded skill set or experience
  • Analytical-minded skill set or experience
  • Previous project management experience

Salary Description
$26.40 - $31.25 per hour depending on experience
