The Lebermuth Company is currently recruiting for a Senior Account Executive to grow our Sales team. Lebermuth is a family owned, ingredient manufacturer, specializing in essential oils and custom-developed fragrance and flavor blends. Summary:

As the Senior Account Executive, you are responsible for building long-term relationships with new and existing customers to support the company and customers in meeting business goals.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages and grows new and existing accounts by building effective relationships, providing ongoing customer support, and enhancing the sales volume for long-term, sustainable growth.
  • Plans, develops, and executes sales strategies for assigned region, from lead generation through closing, that support the company in meeting and/or exceeding their profitability goals.
  • Utilizes various mediums (personal visits, telephone calls and emails) and various techniques (cold calls, warm calls, and scheduled appointments) to develop relationships with prospective customers that will support continued growth in Lebermuth’s target markets.
  • Delivers sales presentations at customer and prospect sites and negotiates terms to ensure the business outcome is beneficial to both the company and customer.
  • Collaborates with multiple existing customers, internal and external groups (i.e., trade organizations and industry associations) to understand market needs and produce a winning effort that ensures the success of all parties involved.
  • Communicates regularly with Sales Support Representatives on order updates and problem-solves escalated customer issues or concerns to ensure resolution is achieved timely.
  • Utilizes consultative, value-based selling methods to assess and quantify total sales opportunities per customer to ensure pipeline is full and sales goals can be achieved.
  • Consults with internal departments to expand knowledge of new and existing products and solutions to effectively articulate product offerings and benefits to current customers.
  • Provides information to Lebermuth management on customer needs/market changes/industry trends and assists in evaluating the current product lines and quality to continually deliver on excellence while enhancing sales.
  • Enters accurate and current data in the CRM and other systems to ensure the sales funnel, customer positioning, and current status is up to date for management use.
  • Participates in trade shows, speaking engagements or other roles with trade associations, and telemarketing campaigns to increase Lebermuth’s exposure and brand in the marketplace.
  • Strives to promote a safe food culture by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to all quality and safety standards within the department to ensure the safe production and shipment of quality food products.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Experience: 10 + years of related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
  • Certifications: NA
  • Functional Skills: Proven ability to research, analyze, plan and execute on strategies, business plans, and other sales initiatives. Strong organization skills, delegation skills, with strong project management and prioritization skills to meet timelines. Strong forward-thinking to create future sales strategies and solutions on current accounts. Experienced in on-site training and education of large client groups and executives on processing optimization, troubleshooting, and key product attributes. Effective problem-solving and multi-tasking skills. Ability to exercise sound and accurate judgement.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Strong working knowledge of CRM systems; MS Office applications; and manufacturing, inventory control and order processing software.
  • Language Skills: Strong oral communication skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write correspondence that is professional in both content and tone. Excellent ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from both internal and external customers, and vendors.

Physical and Sensory Demands / Environmental Conditions / Equipment Used:

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, electronic devices, photocopiers, filing systems/cabinets and fax machines.
  • Ability to sit at desk for 4+ hours per day.
  • Ability to operate keyboard and view computer screen frequently.
  • Ability to write ideas/information in a logical flow for 5+ hours per day.
  • Ability to read and respond due to nature of work, frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and computer frequently.
  • Ability to listen to vendors and internal customers, problem-solve, and respond accordingly, frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull, and carry items frequently.
  • Lifting up to 15 lbs. sporadically.
  • The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise.
  • The employee is occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while visiting Operations areas.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to perfumes and airborne particles.
  • Ability to travel occasionally including day trip and overnight, utilizing various modes of transportation.
  • Ability to work 8am - 5pm Monday – Friday, but schedule may vary (to include evenings and/or weekends) due to travel requirements and business needs.
