2nd Shift Molding Inspector
Description

Job Summary:

Inspects plastic parts, and components for defects by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Examines products for physical defects such as broken or missing areas, blemishes, scratches, cracks, and chips.

• Rejects faulty parts, or components, records type and quantity of defects, and informs lead of quality issue.

• Measures parts to verify accuracy of dimensions.

• Sorts defective components and parts for salvage or scrap.

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

• Performs other duties as directed by shift lead in support of the molding floor.


Requirements

Education: Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Other Skills

• Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions ; uses equipment and materials properly.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.
